Ameiko is a member of a noble, Kaijitsu family. But she never really cared for the aristocracy. She always had an urge to explore, and loved to hear stories of adventures and daring deeds.
Ameiko spent several years as an adventurer herself, which scandalized her family enough, especially her father Lonjiku Kaijitsu. And when she retired from adventuring and returned to Sandpoint, she bought and renovated the Rusty Dragon – an act that only further scandalized and shamed her father.
Ameiko claims not to care about her father’s opinions, but becomes evasive when anyone asks her about her family and her adventuring life.
Ameiko is a beautiful but somewhat irreverent woman, and although she has a lot of friends and admirers in town, Ameiko has never accepted anyone as anything more than a friend; she dodges personal questions and diplomatically avoids proposals of romance, much to the frustration of several eager suitors here in Sandpoint.
Ameiko’s beauty is more than matched by her skill at music, and few are the evenings that pass without at least two or three songs being performed by this talented woman.
